A Message from
President Rick Thornton

Welcome to our Club

                                                   .

Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Bribie Island.  We are your friends, neighbours and business associates. We like to "do good in the world" and have fun doing it!  Tolerance, fairness, respect, compassion, and hope are particularly needed in today's world. Following these values, we share friendship, social activities, fundraising and learning in our  efforts to make our Bribie, Australian, regional and world communities better places.

We involve ourselves in world changing activities with other Rotarians around the world in the eradication of Polio, the fight against Malaria in our region, the facilitation of peace initiatives through our Peace Scholar program and health, hunger, disaster relief and water projects worldwide.

Locally we support the development of our young people through various Rotary programs designed to  aid in personal development and education and in support of other youth activities aimed at helping kids who need "special" attention.

Recent activities include aid to the people of Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea. We assisted our local Surf club, Youth Centre, wildlife carers, Arethusa College, hospice, those grand "Dragons Abreast" girls  and our local schools. The list is long.

Like the sound of all that?  Come along and meet us and have a chat. Thursdays, 6:30 for 7PM at the Woorim Golf Club for dinner (call 0406373218 for bookings) or stop by at the "Van" at the Sunday Markets in Brennan Park. (2nd Sunday every month!).
